2026 Bel Acres Wednesday Nite Men’s League

The Bel Acres Men's League is a 9-hole league over 15 weeks that provides golfers with the opportunity to play a full 18-hole round during most of the league’s season. You can enter as your own foursome or as a twosome (all twosomes will be paired up) to play together each week. Permanent tee times slots for the duration of league play (except tournament days) will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Food and beverage specials will be offered before and after your round in the clubhouse.

Time:

  • Wednesday nights – May 13th is opening night, with the final night slated for Aug. 19th
  • Single Tee Start – Groups are slotted into permanent tee times for the duration of league play. League times will be available to Bel Acres members starting at 3:30pm, with non-members able to play from 4pm to 6pm. If there is high demand, we will extend tee times past 6pm. Secure your spot early to get the best choice of tee times. Players are responsible for cancelling tee times. No shows will have a game deducted.
  • There will be 3-4 nights of league play that only features a 9-hole shotgun with an estimated 6:15pm start off the Back 9. The finale will include prizing and a late-night putt off for major prizes.
  • Dates and times may be subject to change if a tournament conflict arises.
  • The league final will take place on Aug. 19, and it will be a 9-hole shotgun on the Back 9. Following play, there will be a putt off for marquee prizes, as well as other prizes handed out following the last week of the season.
  • Prepaid games that aren’t used on league nights (ie: missed 2 weeks of play), can be used after Aug. 19 – or after the men’s night season ends, if the finale is pushed back – during twilight hours on any day of the week until the end of the golf season. There will be an extension of the season if inclement weather cancels play on any given week.

Format:

  • This a 9-hole, two-man team event.
  • Since competitions are per week, team players can change every week if you like.
  • Teams must be declared prior to tee off.
  • You may play as the same twosome (you will be paired up) or foursome each week.
  • The format will rotate weekly, and golfers will occasionally play different tees to mix things up and add some flair.
  • The weekly formats include: stroke play, stableford scoring, scramble (minimum 3 tee shots per team member), shamble with stableford scoring and one week of alternate shot.
  • Golfers will be alerted no later than 3 days in advance of what the format will be for the upcoming week.
  • Golfers will require a certified Golf Canada handicap. If you don’t have one, or didn't enter at least 10 scores since May 2025, then the first 2 weeks of play will operate on a blind handicap system for these golfers (we pick 3 holes and your individual gross score gets tripled to note your handicap for that week, but then is divided by 2 since league play is only 9 holes ... ie: you play holes 1, 4, 7, 10, 13 and 16 in 6-over par, then your 18-hole handicap is 18, which means your 9-hole handicap is 9). Golfers that were participants in men’s league in 2025 have an already established handicap that will be used if one doesn’t exist on Golf Canada.
  • If the format of the week calls for golfers to play their own ball throughout the 9 holes, then the lowest net score made by your team on a given hole is used for your team score. Prizing will be awarded to the team with the lowest net score in each of the two divisions. Teams will be split into two divisions based on handicap: Division A for team handicaps of 14 or less. Division B for team handicaps of 15 or more. If a 26 handicap and an 8-handicap are teammates, then the team will have a 17-handicap.
  • A team cannot score higher than a gross double bogey.
  • Enter gross scores only on the Bel Acres app, which will be mandatory for scoring during men’s league play.
  • Credit to the club for the purchase of food/drinks/merchandise will be paid out each week to winners of the 2 closest to the pin contests.
  • Optional $20 cash team net skins game weekly.
  • Golf Canada rules apply.
